Privacy Policy

Bring Your Own Cards ("BYOC", "we", "us") is a real-time poker night session manager: chip tracking, blinds, and settlement — you still play with a real deck of cards. This policy explains what data the app collects and why.
Information we collect
- Display name — the name you enter to join a game. No email, phone number, or password is required to use the app.
- Anonymous account ID — created automatically via Firebase Anonymous Authentication so your device can rejoin a game in progress.
- Game data — chip counts, actions, blinds, and settlement results for games you create or join, stored so all players at the table can sync in real time.
- Basic usage events — timestamps for actions like creating or joining a game, used only in aggregate to understand app usage.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or share your data with third parties for advertising.
- We don't serve ads.
- We don't require or collect real names, emails, or payment information.
How data is stored
Game and account data is stored using Google Firebase (Firestore/Authentication). Aggregate, privacy-friendly usage analytics are collected via Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or track individuals across sites.
Data retention & deletion
Game data is retained to let players revisit settlement history. To request deletion of your data, contact us using the email below.
Children's privacy
BYOC is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
